An apparatus for facilitating assembling of a three-dimensional covering sheet onto a cushioned padding for a seat, the sheet having tensioning cords provided therein, the padding including a central portion formed with grooves, and bulged portions formed at both sides of the central portion, the cords being received in the grooves at the time of fastening of the sheet to the padding, the apparatus including a table, a supporting member for receiving and supporting the padding at the time of the assembling of the sheet onto the padding, hooking arms for causing the bulged portions on the supporting member to be pulled away from each other, to thereby cause the grooves of the padding to be widened, and holding clamps for pressing the padding and causing the padding to be compressedly deformed at the time of covering of the padding with the sheet. |
