A fixture for securing glazed tiles to a wall comprises a base frame 1a-1d having two upstanding side walls 5a, 6a the side surfaces of which 5, 6 form abutments for the edges of the tiles. The fixtures are secured to a wall by nails passing through holes 2 or by adhesive. Projections 11 and 12 are provided for locating in recesses 51, and 61 on adjacent fixtures. The side surfaces 5, 6 may have recesses 52, 62 for locating projections on the tiles. Separate strip members (Rig. 4) may be provided for closing the outer edge. The tiles may be secured in the fixtures and then the whole cemented to a wall. The frame parts 1a, 1d are provided with bulgings 9 and 8 and grooves 7a and 8a between them and the upstanding parts, the bulgings being depressable to accommodate variations in the thickness of the tiles. |
