SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING LOCATION USING DATA COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PURPOSE: A location tracking system and a method thereof using a data communications network is provided to track a location of a location tracking terminal even in a region where a signal of a GPS satellite is weak by enhancing a receipt sensitivity based on a signal process resource which is higher than a GPS(Global Positioning System) receiver in a location tracking server and tracking a location of the corresponding location tracking terminal. CONSTITUTION: A signal amplifier(410) amplifies a satellite signal received from a GPS satellite. A signal converter(420) transforms the amplified satellite signal into the GPS digital data. An additional data processor(440) extracts the additional information required for the transformed location tracking. A network matching unit(450) transmits the transformed GPS digital data and the extracted additional information to the location tracking sever through a data communication network.
