PURPOSE: A composition containing Punica granatum extract and red ginseng extract for preventing or treating diabetes or obesity is provided to suppress glucose absorption and alpha-glucosidase activation. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating diabetes or obesity contains Punica granatum and red ginseng extracts. The Punica granatum extrac is isolated flower, peel, seed, fruits of the Punica granatum using extraction solvent. The extraction solvent is water. The Punica granatum extract and red ginseng extract is contained in the ratio of 7:3-3:7. The composition additionally contains Morus alba L. extract, Sasa borealis extract, amino acid, vitamin, mineral, sweetener, or dietary fiber. The composition is food composition or drink.
