PURPOSE: A backlight unit with a supporting unit is provided to apply the supporting unit realizing a surface mount technology, thereby improving workability and productivity. CONSTITUTION: On a circuit board(200), a plurality of light sources(300) is installed/arranged. An optical sheet(400) is located on the circuit board. A plurality of support units(500) is located between the circuit board and an optical sheet. A plurality of supporting units supports the optical sheet. A plurality of supporting units is surface mounted on the circuit board by solder. The circuit board is located on a rear chassis(100). The supporting unit keeps uniformity of light of the backlight unit by keeping space of an air cavity on the backlight unit to a constant height. |
