POLYAMIDE NANOCOMPOSITE

PURPOSE: A polyamide nanocomposite is provided to make regular polyamide more capable of resisting in the partial electric discharges(PDs) and to improve the surface roughness by adding a nanofiller. CONSTITUTION: A polyamide nanocomposite is formed by a polymerization of a polyamide and nanofillers. The nanofillers are a layered silicate. The layered silicate must uniformly disperse in original position with polyamide to form the polyamide nanocomposite. The nanofillers can improve the surface roughness of the polyamide only with a small amount (approximately 2wt%) and can be selected from a high stretch type(2wt%), a standard type(4wt%), and a high stiffness type(5wt%).
