<p>The device has a case (2) formed from sound damping material in a single block, where the case is in a shape of bell. The case is adapted to an outer shape of a brake booster (1) through plastic deformation so as to cover front face (1A), peripheral face (1C) and rear face (1B) of the booster and protect the booster against impacts and scratches during packing, transporting and assembling of the booster. The case has a bottom wall (2A) covering shape of the front face and a cylindrical peripheral wall formed of sections (2B, 2C) for covering the peripheral and rear faces of booster. An independent claim is also included for a method for protecting a brake booster of motor vehicle.</p> |
