The terminal has a connection managing device (ACM1) with a creating or removing module for creating or removing communication channels (CA1, CAx). Applications (Appx, App1) have a registering unit for registering the application by the managing device, during activation of the application. A deregistering unit deregisters the application by the managing device, during deactivation of the application, where a message relative to channels is transmitted between the managing device and the application. The determined channel requested by the application is represented by one of the messages sent to the managing device, or the other message sent to the applications represents the determined channel available for the application. An independent claim is also included for a method for managing communication in a mobile terminal.
