<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive device which eliminates the need for giving a dedicated space for storing a pump, while achieving the drive of the pump at a rotational speed after reducing the speed. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle drive device 10 comprises an in-wheel motor 12, and an internal gear 42 as a reduction mechanism 30 for reducing the speed and transmitting the rotation of the in-wheel motor 12 to an axle hub 32. The vehicle drive device comprises a gear pump 52 driven by the rotation of the internal gear 42 for discharging cooling oil to cool the in-wheel pump 12. The gear pump 52 is arranged on the inner peripheral side of the internal gear 42 and inside the vehicle of an axle hub 32, provided around a shaft section 54 connected the rotational shaft center of the axle hub 32, and is driven by the rotation of the shaft section 54 which is rotated as the internal gear 42 is rotated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
