POWER CONTROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power controller that is also applicable to systems having only one motor and outputs alternating-current power to the outside without use of a separate DC-AC converter.

SOLUTION: A converter 12 having a reactor 14 is connected to a direct-current power supply (battery) 10 and an inverter 18 and a motor 20 are connected to the converter 12. The inverter 18 is controlled by a controller 26 to drive the motor 20. An output terminal 28 is connected between the neutral point 22 of the motor 20 and the direct-current power supply 10 side of the reactor 14. The controller 26 controls switching of the inverter 18 to periodically vary the potential at the neutral point 22 of the motor 20 and thereby outputs alternating-current power.
