<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate that suppresses color shift without damaging the characteristic of an IPS mode liquid crystal display device of a wide angular field of view, and does not damage the handling property in a manufacturing process or in conveyance. <P>SOLUTION: This polarizing plate 1 for the IPS mode liquid crystal display device includes transparent protective films 11 and 13 on both surfaces of a polarizer 12, and is a rectangle where diagonal length is 660 mm or longer. The thickness of the transparent protective film 13 arranged on the liquid crystal cell side of the polarizer 12 is thinner than that of the transparent protective film 11 arranged on the opposite side by 15-85 μm. The outside of the transparent protective film 13 on the liquid crystal cell side includes a pressure sensitive adhesive layer 14 (preferably, the storage elastic modulus at room temperature is 0.15-10 MPa, and counter glass adhesive strength is 1-30 N/25 mm), and it is stuck to the IPS mode liquid crystal cell 2, thereby forming an IPS mode liquid crystal display device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
