PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide view angle polarization film for liquid crystal display combined with a phase difference film and a luminance improvement film and having a reduced luminance unevenness.

SOLUTION: The wide view angle polarization film for liquid crystal display is formed by laminating a polarization layer on an optical compensation film, and further laminating the phase difference film and/or the luminance improvement film thereon. The polarization layer is directly laminated on the optical compensation film. The polarization layer is produced by a lyotropic solution containing a dichromatic dye or a liquid polymer solution containing dichromatic dye. In addition, the thickness of the polarization layer is 0.1 to 3 μm.
