PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent operations at an alternating electric power source and voltage in the range outside the standard. SOLUTION: The voltage of an alternating electric power source is estimated by the switching frequency of a power source, and when the voltage is determined to be outside of the standard range, a printing operation is not executed. Then, the trouble of a fixing device and the increase in the trouble rate of power source elements caused by the drive at an extremely low voltage and the increase of loss of power source elements caused by the drive at an extremely high voltage can be prevented.
