PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, an image forming method, and an image forming program, restarting an operation from a suspended state where the user's operation is suspended, even when the apparatus is shifted to another state. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with an operation panel for receiving the user's operation. The image forming apparatus includes a first shifting means configured to, when the user's operation is not received for a predetermined time, shift the operation panel from a first screen which indicates the user's operating state to a second screen which displays another first state; a decision means for deciding whether or not the user's operation is suspended on the operation panel; and a storage means configured to, when deciding by the decision means that the user's operation is suspended, store the operation contents displayed on the first screen when shifting from the first screen to the second screen.
