<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket connector wherein a socket housing is hardly disconnected at its opposite side to a lock arm from a base housing and a supporting point portion of the lock arm is hardly broken. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The socket connector 10 includes the socket housing 12, and the lock arm 15 connected to the outer face of the socket housing 12 and adapted to engage with a latch portion 36 to maintain the condition of joining the socket connector 10 to the base connector 30 in the combined state that the socket connector 10 is combined with the base connector 30. On the fifth-direction D5 side of the socket housing 12 opposite to the lock arm 15, a flotation preventing rib 54 is provided which is protruded to the fifth-direction D5 side. The base housing 31 has a flotation preventing rib groove 44 extending toward a fifth direction D5 and capable of storing the flotation preventing rib 54 in the combined state.
