PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard communication device which attains an inexpensive safety drive support service using inter-vehicle communication information and to provide the safety drive support service wherein a navigation device can be connected with the onboard communication device even when the navigation device is mounted after the onboard communication device is introduced. SOLUTION: The onboard communication device generates vehicle travel information of the vehicle, transmits and receives thereof to and from surrounding vehicles, and informs a driver of information that caution is required in traveling the vehicle, when receiving the information. The onboard communication device is equipped with a navigation connection means for connecting with the navigation device. When connected with the navigation device, vehicle travel information generating processing is carried out by the navigation device, so that the onboard communication device copes with the case of mounting the navigation device after the onboard communication device is introduced.
