PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog-digital converter which can realize low power consumption. SOLUTION: A magnitude of an analog signal for which an AD conversion is performed at a preceding timing is compared with a magnitude of an analog signal for which the A/D conversion is performed, at a later timing by a first comparator 7. A linearly decreasing ramp wave or a linearly increasing ramp wave is outputted by a DAC 3, according to the result of the comparison. A counter control unit 8 performs a control so that a counter 5 counts, in an ascending order or a descending order, according to the result of the comparison. In the counter 5, only the difference between the analog signal is counted for which the AD conversion is performed at the preceding timing and the analog signal for which the AD conversion is performed with a later timing.
