PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image photographing apparatus and a radiation image information processing method for reliably and efficiently performing photographing processing and reading processing on radiation image information, for roughly grasping a state of a subject, and for determining whether the radiation image information recorded in a radiation conversion panel is excellent image information in terms of diagnostic adequacy. SOLUTION: In the radiation image photographing apparatus 10A, the radiation image information recorded in a storage phosphor panel 38 is read at a second reading speed which is faster than a first reading speed during normal reading by using a reading device 16 after irradiating the subject 34 with X rays 32 (after photographing radiation image information), and the read radiation image information is displayed on a display 19.
