<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel (PDP) in which high-definition barrier rib can be formed without the increase of the amount of impure gas in the panel and excellent image view can be achieved. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A plasma display panel 100 includes a base dielectric layer 108 which is composed of a plurality of layers 108a, 108b having different porosities, on a posterior glass substrate 102.
