<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver state decision device deciding a careless state of a driver with high accuracy. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This driver state decision device has at least one of a line-of-sight detection means and an operation state detection means, an environment recognition means, and a careless state decision means. The line-of-sight detection means detects a state of a line-of-sight of the driver. The operation state detection means detects an operation state of a vehicle by the driver. The environment recognition means detects environment around the vehicle. The careless state decision means compares a detection value detected by at least one of the line-of-sight detection means and the operation state detection means and each threshold value, and decides the careless state of the driver based on the result thereof.
