<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the worsening of fuel consumption when prohibiting the control of an engine to be automatically stopped. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An ECU executes a program which includes a step (S118) of controlling the engine to be automatically stopped when idling stop conditions including at least the conditions that a vehicle is stopper is satisfied (YES in S110), and a step (S106) of controlling the engine to be automatically stopped, namely, of prohibiting idling stop when conditions including at least the conditions that an engine revolving speed NE is lower than a predetermined target revolving speed is satisfied during operating the engine.
