METHOD FOR COLLECTING VALUABLE METAL FROM TAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively and separately collecting valuable metals such as nickel and vanadium contained in a petroleum-based unused resource.

SOLUTION: The method comprises: a step of collecting tar T from a gas produced by gasifying a petroleum-based unused resource; a first separation step of treating the tar T with the first acid liquid 15, and separating the first acid liquid 15 into a first acid liquid 15' into which nickel and vanadium have dissolved and the tar T; a second separation step of extracting the first acid liquid 15' in which the separated nickel and vanadium solve with an extractant 17 to separate the first acid liquid 15' into the extractant 17' containing vanadium and a first acid liquid 15" containing nickel; a nickel separation step of concentrating the separated first acid liquid 15" to obtain nickel; a third separation step of reextracting the separated extractant 17' with the second acid liquid 22 to separate the extractant 17' into a second acid liquid 22' containing vanadium and the extractant 17; and a vanadium separation step of concentrating the separated second acid liquid 22' to obtain vanadium.
