PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment information management server that reduces the use of public lines by acquiring plenty of accurate equipment information efficiently at a plant failure. SOLUTION: The equipment information management server 1 includes an equipment information download database 17 in which lists of equipment information associated with each corresponding apparatus configuring a plant by the combination of an apparatus name and a failure description and lists of equipment information of apparatus classes the same as or similar to each apparatus are stored as a database. When receiving a failure signal from a plant monitoring and control system 3, the server searches the equipment information download database 17, based on the apparatus name and failure description acquired from the failure signal, for a list (search condition) of equipment information that may be useful for handling the failed apparatus. When an equipment information management terminal 2 at a site 200 makes a request to download required equipment information, the list of equipment information is also added in the equipment information download database 17.
