<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a user is not informed about the operating state of ice making and feels the ice making speed is slow because the user does not recognize that ice making becomes impossible due to insufficient detachment/attachment of an ice tray etc., leading to complaint of the user; and to provide a refrigerator capable of smoothly executing ice making operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This control device for a refrigerator is provided with an automatic ice-making machine; an ice making setting means 1 for setting start and completion of the ice making operation; a display means 15 for displaying the ice making setting state; and an ice making control means 3 for determining the ice making state. When it is determined that ice making is impossible during setting of the ice making, the operating state of the ice making can be informed to a user by displaying the state by the display means 15 without additionally installing a display.
