PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of reducing erroneous detection of temperature. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: a temperature detection sensor that is arranged in non-contact with a heating roller that is a body to be measured, and detects temperature according to a quantity of infrared ray radiated from the body to be measured; a heating source that heats the body to be measured; a soil resistant member 609 that is constituted to be movable and covers a part of a light transmission part on which the infrared ray is made incident in the temperature detection sensor; and a detection part that detects the soil of the temperature detection sensor based on the received quantity of the infrared ray of the temperature detection sensor at a certain point of time and the received quantity of the infrared ray of the temperature detection sensor after moving the soil resistant member 609.
