PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for injection molding which is used for production of a resin molded article comprising embedding a first sheet body having no stiffness in the mold while keeping a prescribed shape and position and forming a second sheet body on the surface of the first one at the same time as injection molding, and also to provide a method of producing the resin molded article using the mold. SOLUTION: The mold 20 for injection molding comprises a fixed die 21 and a movable die 22 which forms a cavity 30 between the dies 21 and 22 upon clamping. The movable die 22 includes a peripheral die 29 and a slide die 23 which can advance or retreat the inside of the die 29 in the clamping direction relative to the die 29. An insert sheet 32 is buried as shown in a dashed two-dotted line, and a cavity 30 is formed corresponding to the resin molded article 60, the surface of which has an insert sheet 72. Thus, the resin molded article 60 expandable in design variation can be produced by arranging the insert sheets 32 and 72 in the mold 20 for injection molding to perform a prescribed operation.
