PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film for separator formation capable of forming a separator for an electrochemical element, excellent in dimension stability at high temperature, capable of structuring an electrochemical element having high reliability, and further, excellent in productivity, and an electrochemical element having the separator formed of the film. SOLUTION: The electrochemical element includes at least the film for forming a separator for an electrochemical element having a resin (A) which is stable against nonaqueous electrolyte and has heat-resistance temperature of 150°C or more and a resin (B) capable of being dissolved in the nonaqueous electrolyte, a cathode, an anode, nonaqueous electrolyte and a separator.
