PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid opening and closing auxiliary mechanism for a strobe with a battery lid, capable of carrying out smoothly and easily an opening operation for the battery lid in any stage, by a popped-up-like manner, irrespective of a strobe use started time point and a long-period used time point. SOLUTION: The lid opening and closing auxiliary mechanism for the strobe with the battery lid has a storage chamber 2 for storing the batteries 10 into a strobe body 1, the battery lid 11 supported by a journaling part 1c provided in one part of the storage chamber 2, and turn-operated around the journaling part as a support shaft, to open and close an opening part of the storage chamber 2, and a locking mechanism part for locking and lock-releasing the battery lid 11 to/from the storage chamber 2, and the lid opening and closing auxiliary mechanism is arranged with energizing members 4a, 4b comprising an elastic material such as rubber or sponge, in both ends of the battery lid 11 with the journaling part therebetween positionally.
