摘要 <p>The system (30) has electrodes (32, 34) each consisting of an adaptable parameter e.g. surface size. A controller (36) models current paths. The paths are formed as a network of capacitors by interaction of an object i.e. human body, with an electrical field between the electrodes. The controller adjusts the adaptable parameter to two positions, applies a set of alternating voltages to the electrodes and measures resulting sets of current values at the electrodes. The controller determines values for the capacitors on the basis of the resulting sets of current valves. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for capacitive object recognition (2) a method for determination of an occupied state of a vehicle seat.</p>
