Provided is a highly durable laminated piezoelectric element wherein an external electrode has less possibilities of being removed from a side surface of a laminated body even when the element is continuously driven for a long period of time in a high electrical field under high pressure. In a laminated piezoelectric element (1), a hole (2) is formed on a bonding interface between a side surface of a laminated body (7) wherein piezoelectric layers (3) and internal electrode layers (5) are alternately laminated and an external electrode (9) bonded to the side surface.  Since a stress generated on the bonding interface between the side surface of the laminated body (7) and the external electrode (9) when the element is driven can be reduced by the hole (2), there are less possibilities of having the external electrode (9) removed from the side surface of the laminated body (7) even when the element is continuously driven for a long period of time.
