PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an opening/closing means to be easily provided in a tensioned state even if elongation angles of right and left arms are different from each other in an awning device. SOLUTION: An arm cap means which is constituted to maintain an attitude of a front frame holding means by swinging with respect to arm means is provided. The right and left arm means are distorted by the adjustment of the angle, so that the amount of the torsion of them can be absorbed by the swing motion of the arm cap means even if the amount of the torsion reaches an angular difference (torsion) of the order of 30°at the maximum. This enables a canvas as the opening/closing means to be easily provided in a tensioned state without the generation of torsional stress between the arm means and the front frame holding means.
