摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium showing excellent record reproducibility and light resistance in information recording by irradiation with short wavelength laser rays. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium has a recording layer formed on the surface of a substrate having a pregroove with a track pitch of 50 to 500 nm on the surface. The recording layer contains an azo metal complex coloring matter which is a complex of an azo coloring matter represented by formula (1) and transition metal ions, whose number is equal to or greater than the number of molecules of the azo coloring matter.
