<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor installation type air conditioner having an indoor unit not affected by blowout air, and capable of arranging a human body detecting sensor in a position of obtaining a sufficient view field. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes a sensor unit having a Fresnel lens for collecting an infrared ray emitted from a person in a living room, an element for detecting the infrared ray, and a substrate mounted with the element and for determining the presence of the person, based on an output from the element, in a casing of the floor installation type air conditioner, and the sensor unit is arranged in a lower side of a blowout port on a front face of the casing. A downward-directed angle in a lower limit of a vertical-directional view field range with the infrared ray incident into the human body detecting sensor is set to get wider than an upward-directed angle in an upper limit of the vertical-directional view field range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
