PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To warn a driver of a following vehicle about deceleration which is not due to the operation of a driver. SOLUTION: An ECU 25 diagnoses abnormality of an electronic throttle control system and interrupts the supply of an electric current to a throttle motor 15, when the abnormality of the electronic throttle control system to carry out a fail safe control for holding a throttle opening degree to an opening degree of an opener by a return spring. Thus, an output of an engine 11 is limited to limiting the driving force of a vehicle. When the deceleration by the fail safe control is detected, if the degree of deceleration is large, a warning operation control during a sudden deceleration is executed, for instance, by making a brake lamp 30 flicker. When the degree of deceleration is small, a warning operation control during a light deceleration is executed, for instance, by making the brake lamp 30 flicker. Thus, the drivers of following vehicles are immediately warned of the deceleration (deceleration by the fail safe control) which is not caused by the operation of the driver.
