<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inflator facilitating a breakage of a rupturing plate broken by a missile and maintaining of a gas discharging passage. <P>SOLUTION: The inflator stores a bottle part 12, filled with pressurized gas and an igniter 26 wherein a part between the bottle part, and a diffuser 20 provided with gas discharging ports 22, is closed by a rupturing plate 19; a gas flow-out passage 24 is formed between the igniter 26; and the rupturing member 19 and a missile 30 is arranged in the gas flow-out passage 24. The missile 30 has a resilient flare part where its peripheral wall close to its opening part is widened outward in its diameter and the missile 30 is fixed, in such a way that the flare part is pushed and shrunk with the wall surface of the gas flow-out passage 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
