<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high efficiency of operation in a load by detecting the potential of a connecting point to the load in a switch element. <P>SOLUTION: An NMOS transistor Q2 temporally and intermittently connects a motor 10 to the ground. A detection circuit 30a detects the potential Va of the connecting point to the motor 10 of the NMOS transistor Q2 with a lapse of a prescribed time after the NMOS transistor Q2 connects the motor 10 to the ground. When the potential Va of the connecting point exists in a range that the motor 10 is determined to be short-circuited, a control circuit 20 controls the NMOS transistor Q2 so that power supply to the motor 10 is blocked. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
