<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recapping a conveyor belt capable of lengthening the life span of a conveyor belt by facilitating recapping of a cover rubber in recapping the conveyor belt again after recapping and to provide the conveyor belt recapped by this method for recapping the conveyor belt. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The conveyor belt 1 is equipped with a body belt 5 in which a reinforcing core body is buried and the cover rubber 9 arranged on the body belt 5. The method for recapping the conveyor belt includes: a process to peel off at least a part of the cover rubber 9 in recapping the cover rubber 9; and a process to laminate a recapping rubber 13 having at least one layer of a fiber layer 11 inside on a part 17 from which the cover rubber 9 is peeled off.
