PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent useless uplink light from being transmitted from a vehicle side even if an irradiation area of downlink light is extended more toward the upstream side than in general. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle device 2 of a vehicle C which performs interactive communication by light signal with a beacon head 8 of an optical beacon 4 includes: a light receiving element 19 which receives downlink light DO emitted toward a road R by the beacon head 8; and a restriction member 41. The restriction member restricts the downlink light DO emitted to an upstream portion within an actual irradiation area IA of the downlink DO to the road R from being incident on the light receiving element 19.
