PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SMA actuator constituted so as to further reduce displacement of the movable end by influence of a change in a curved angle. SOLUTION: This shape memory alloy actuator has a shape memory alloy wire 4 of changing in its length by extending by cooling, and contracting by current-carrying heating, a flexible insulating tube 6 for inserting the shape memory alloy wire 4, a fixing part 5 connected with one end part of the insulating tube 6 and one end part of an SMA wire 6, a moving body 1 mechanically connected to the other end part of the SMA wire 6 and relatively movable to the other end part of the insulating tube 6, a bias spring 2 for making external force act on the moving body 1 in the direction for extending the SMA wire, and an inner diameter changing part 61 for making a position of the axis of the SMA wire 6 inserted into the insulating tube 6 coincide with a position of the axis of the insulating tube 6.
