PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door unit with a hinged door mechanism, which has proper operability. SOLUTION: A sliding door body 5 is composed of an upper bar 6 suspended in a horizontally movable manner from a traveling rail 8 provided above an opening, and a body portion 7; a door end-side end of the body portion 7 is suspended from the upper bar 6 via a locking means composed of a hook body 6b and a locking piece 7a; and first and second supporting means, which support the door end-side end, provided with the locking means of the body portion 7 in the sliding full-opening attitude of the body portion 7 in such a manner that the door end-side end is positioned higher than a door tail-side end, are provided between the body portion 7 and a door case body 1.
