Disclosed is a crystal of a thiazolidinedione compound, which is useful as a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) ? activator or an active ingredient for the production of an anti-cancer pharmaceutical composition. Specifically disclosed are 5-(4-[[6-(4-amino-3,5-dimethylphenoxy)-1-methyl-1-H- benzimidazol-2-yl]methoxy]benzyl)-1,3-tiazolidine-2,4-dione represented by general formula (I) and a crystal of a hydrate of a dihydrochloride salt of the compound.
