<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a photocurable composition having high sensitivity to irradiation with active radiation and capable of forming a cured film having high adhesion to a solid surface; an ink composition including the photocurable composition, having high curing sensitivity, excellent in color reproducibility, capable of forming an image having high adhesion and flexibility to a recording medium, and suitable for inkjet recording; and an inkjet recording method using the ink composition. <P>SOLUTION: The photocurable composition includes (i) a sensitizing dye represented by general formula (I), (ii) an o-acyloxime-based photopolymerization initiator, and (iii) a polymerizable compound having an ethylenically unsaturated bond.
