<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizer, food and drink, and a deodorizing additive having a new tobacco odor deodorizing function. <P>SOLUTION: The deodorizer is used as an oral deodorizer or another deodorizer by containing 1-hydroxy acetone as an effective component. The food and drink having the tobacco odor deodorizing function is provided by containing 1-hydroxy acetone as the effective component thereof.
