PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost endoscope system acquiring infrared fluorographic image by an infrared light without lowering the resolution of a regular image by a white light, or the sensitivity of respective colors, especially G (green), having a simple structure and constitution, and reducing changes and remodeling. SOLUTION: This endoscope system includes: a light source device emitting a white light and the infrared light by changing them in time series; and an image capturing device for acquiring a color image and an infrared image of an observation site illuminated by the white light and the infrared light respectively, wherein the image capturing device has a plurality of image pickup elements constituting pixels corresponding to respective pixels of the color image, and a color filter disposed in the front face thereof. The color filter has a plurality of types of specific wavelength transmission filters corresponding to the plurality of image pickup elements respectively and transmitting different electromagnetic waves, wherein one or more specific wavelength transmission filters thereamong can transmit the specific wavelength band of the infrared wavelength band and acquires an image signal from the image pickup element of the same pixel according to the changeover between the white light and the infrared light.
