PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid maintenance processing more than required in an ink circulation type inkjet printer. SOLUTION: The ink circulation type inkjet printer includes a maintenance means, a printing condition setting means, an ink circulation controlling means which circulates the ink at the time of execution of printing, and a maintenance controlling means. On the occasion of execution of printing, the maintenance controlling means compares a printing condition at the time of execution of last printing with a printing condition at the time of execution of the present printing when an elapsed time from the end of last printing does not pass a predetermined first reference time, makes maintenance processing executed before execution of printing if the elapsed time from the end of last printing passes a predetermined second reference time in the case where the present printing is printing of ejecting the ink from nozzles that do not eject the ink in the last printing, and makes printing executed without making maintenance processing carried out if the elapsed time does not pass the second reference time.
