PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new security countermeasure technology in an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: A composite machine includes: a display part; a registration acceptance part; a scanner part; an image storage part; and an information transmitting part. The display part displays a button for performing a registration operation for allowing only a specific user to handle image data when it is determined that identification information is the one of a document manager. The registration acceptance part accepts the registration operation when the button is operated. The scanner part reads the image data to be handled by the specific user upon receiving a reading instruction of the document manager when the button is operated. The image storage part stores the image data read by the scanner part. The information transmitting part transmits a document management number which is requested when the image data read by the scanner part is handled and can be accepted by a card reader to a PC of the specific user.
