<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box body capable of shortening a width dimension of the developed box body, reducing the cost of the box body, and preventing its retaining strip from being excessively fitted. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Cut parts 51 formed by cutting out at a plurality of places are formed at a front edge 5a of an external lid 5. A sealing strip 6 and a third crease line 10 along which the sealing strip 6 is folded from its base are provided between the cut parts 51. The first slot hole 31 into which the sealing strip 6 is fitted is formed in a position apart from a first crease line 2 of an inner lid 3 continuing via the first crease line 2 from a first side plate 12 of the box body 1. The retaining strip 8 which is nearly U-shaped over its base on the first side plate 12 and the inner lid 3 is defined by a break line 7. A second slot hole 22 into which a retaining strip 8 is fitted is formed at the base of the sealing strip 6. Regulating parts 24 which regulates the retaining strip from moving in a direction in which the retaining strip 8 is fitted into the second slot hole 22 are formed in the break line 7.
