The electromagnetic piston valve (1) has an axially movable piston (5), which is arranged such that the radial fluid through opening (7) is opened and closed by axial displacement of the piston. Another axially movable piston (10) is provided, against which the former piston supports in the non-energized condition of the field coil (3). A pretensioning spring (9) is provided, by which the latter piston is pretensioned in a direction, and the latter piston is moved against the pretensioning spring by the field coil.
