<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a pedestal for camera module by which the automatic assembly accuracy of the pedestal to a substrate can be enhanced without being affected by the fitting accuracy of a fixed die and a movable die for forming the pedestal. <P>SOLUTION: When molding, by the fixed die and the movable die, the pedestal 20 for the camera module integrally having a base part 20a in a hollow ring shape, whose lower end face is fixed to the upper surface of the substrate 22 where an imaging element 23 is disposed, a cylindrical lens unit support part 20b which is integrally formed on the base part and inside which a lens unit 21 is to be fitted, and an intermediate shelf part 25 formed in an inward flange shape at a bottom part inside the lens unit support part 20b and provided with a window hole for transmission on the center part, the inner peripheral surface of the lens unit support part 20b at the part configuring the pedestal and an edge part for image recognition configuring a part of the inner peripheral edge part of the window hole visible from the side of the base part 20a are formed by the same fixed or movable die. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
