<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine that reliably insulates a connection terminal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Bottom plates 28a, 28b, and walls 29a, 29b are provided on either a partitioning wall 27a of a back yoke insulating portion 26b or a partitioning portion 27b of a teeth tip insulating portion 26c to form regions 30a, 30b having a U-shaped cross section. Connection terminals 31, 32 are attached to the partitioning portions 27a, 27b so that a bottom plate side surface 31d of barrel portions 31a, 32a are supported by a bottom wall 33 and an opening side surface 31e is covered by an upper wall 34.
